Community Collaboration

At Rubenovitch Furnishings & Co., we believe that great design is inherently collaborative, fostering Connection between people, their spaces, and the wider community. Our work is rooted in a deep respect for craft, legacy, and the natural world, which means we are committed to contributing meaningfully to the creative ecosystem around us. For us, collaboration is not just a goal, but a core value that guides how we source materials, partner with designers, and run our entire business

The 'Co.' in Rubenovitch Furnishings & Co. is a deliberate statement: it stands for Community, Collaboration, and Connections. This core belief drives us to look beyond the walls of our workshop and actively foster local expertise. We are all about collaborating with other makers, artists, and designers right here in the Sea to Sky corridor. By working alongside fellow craftspeople and supporting regional vendors, we not only ensure the authentic quality of every one-of-a-kind heirloom but also help to strengthen the entire local creative ecosystem, ensuring the region remains a thriving hub for bespoke craft.

Another example of this dedication is the leadership role of founder Lenny Rubenovitch in the TWIG Sea to Sky Wood Network. As a passionate woodworker, storyteller, and community connector, Lenny established this local chapter of The Wood Innovation Group to bring together wood professionals, craftspeople, designers, and advocates across the Sea to Sky Corridor. The network's purpose is to cultivate a space where industries converge and new collaborations spark innovation in the region.

Through this essential local involvement, we actively help to build a more resilient, circular economy by exploring how regional wood species, fabrication techniques, and design thinking can elevate the entire sector. Our ongoing mission is to deepen community ties, share knowledge, and build relationships that inspire future projects, ensuring that our Legacy extends far beyond the functional art we build and into the creative fabric of British Columbia.
