ZELL: Balance with Zen living in Hell

Beautiful highly figured maple meets spalt. Spalting is caused by fungi & occurs in trees under stress, it produces magnificent pigmentation, black zone lines & white rot. Just like humans, when trees go through stressful events in their life they also grow with character and personality. Zell holds equanimity and balance under the harsh conditions of it’s challenging environment.

 

Lenny had the pleasure to collaborate on this piece with longtime logger Tim Reid who enriched the work with his craftsmanship.
